Beauty Tips Time!

So lately, I’ve read two books: The Beauty Detox by Kimberly Snyder and Healthy Happy Sexy by Katie Silcox. (both great books!)

Below are some tips I’ve discovered from these two amazing books!

Tip 1: Have a morning ritual. This should include hydrating yourself with a cup of warm lemon water first thing in the morning. Listening to Positive Affirmations, I personally love Deepak Chopra’s “The Soul of Healing Affirmations.” Add a morning exercise routine, it jump starts your metabolism and works wonders on your alertness and overall mood, so if you can squeeze in 15-30 minutes before you head out the door, GREAT!!

Tip 2: Eat your largest meal at lunch. Your metabolism is actually working the strongest during these hours. Try eating a thin slice of ginger before meals as well. Do not eat while watching TV, texting, or surfing the internet. Eating is sacred, appreciate your meal, do not rush, chew slowly. Avoid Processed foods.

Tip 3: Eat dinner around 6:00 pm. Eat light! Use spices that boost digestion such as ginger, cayenne pepper, cumin, cinnamon, nutmeg, turmeric.

Tip 4: In the evening allow for quiet/meditation/stillness time. It enhances beauty sleep and gives you the opportunity to reflect on the day events and let go of anything that does not serve you mentally, spiritually, or emotionally.  Try not to go to bed with baggage or in a bad mood.

Tip 5: Both books stress the importance of  beginning  a yoga practice and surrounding yourself in nature. Yoga allows for energy to flow and helps strengthen focus. Nature reminds us we are all connected and enhances creativity.
