Autumn cleaning detox part 1

Autumn cleaning detox part 1

Fall is a time of change and new beginnings; out with the old in with the new. This is a time to get rid of junk or things that no longer serve us.  Here we will draw our attention to getting rid of negative words or thoughts which in all actuality is similar to junk food and is toxic to our health. Social media and Songs with negative words are a good place to start. Here are a few Tips to begin your Autumn Cleaning Detox, and what’s great about this detox, is that you don’t even have to break a sweat or cut calories!

Tip 1: Filter out your social media feed by removing any incoming data that leaves you feeling down, sad, depressed or even gossip provoking. The constant messages that surround us daily directly impact how we feel and even act. So try to keep your feed uplifting and when it comes to early morning jamming, keep it positive!

Tip 2: Limit the news. The local news can be inundated with traumatic stories, depressing events and leave you feeling down and even stressed. I’m not saying that we all need to live in a bubble, but definitely try to keep this type of influx of information to a minimum.

Tip 3: Reject the need to participate or engage in gossip or negative comments. Karma is ever present and you want to keep your flow of energy positive. Refrain from leaving negative comments on social media as this can recourse its way back to you. As our mothers preached, if you have nothing nice to say, don’t say it at all. So when those around you begin to bad mouth a certain somebody resist the urge to chime in.

Tip 4: Start a gratitude journal. Every night before bed, write down your blessings and what you are most grateful for. This allows you to acknowledge the many things life has already blessed upon you and open doors for more blessings to come. Don’t forget to tell those you love how much they mean to you and how you appreciate them 🙂

Tip 5: Create a Mantra. Mantra’s are motivating chants that are used to uplift, keep you grounded, and help with your focused intention. My personal favorite is “What will be will be, Que Sera Sera. This mantra reminds me to let go and Detach, It gives me the freedom to be who I am and allow others to be who they are. I embrace the beauty of uncertainty and I become peaceful with what the universe brings forth. So create or find a mantra that works for you. Chant your mantra when you need to direct your thoughts to its message or when you may feel yourself slipping into that vortex of negativity.

Well, I hope you enjoyed Part 1 of The Autumn Cleaning Detox. I look forward to sharing more tips, until next time !!
